Dry Needling
Dry Needling is an innovative form of physiotherapy aimed at improving (often chronic) muscle complaints. This therapy uses thin needles to effectively and quickly resolve hardness in muscles.
A muscle hardening or trigger point is a hard feeling spot ('knot') in a muscle that, in addition to local pressure pain, can also often cause pain in other places in the body.
What is Dry Needling?
How does it work?
You will hardly feel the insertion of the needle. If the muscle hardening is punctured, the muscle may tighten briefly. This happens so quickly that you usually get a bit of a shock and sometimes it can feel a bit painful. If you feel your familiar pain, there is a good chance that it will have a positive effect. The muscle becomes more flexible, its mobility increases and the pain may immediately decrease.

For which complaints is Dry Needling suitable?
For all muscle-related complaints it is possible to eliminate pain through dry needling.
Dry needling is almost always part of the treatment and not the goal in itself. Together with you, we create a personal, tailor-made treatment plan, taking into account all facets of your complaint.
Insurance / Referral
The treatment is reimbursed by your insurance company if you have additional insurance for physiotherapy. You can go directly to the physiotherapist without a referral from your GP via direct access.
